Thomas "Tommy" Howard Gilfillan Obituary (1953 - 2021)

Thomas "Tommy" Howard Gilfillan, 68, passed away on Friday, September 24, 2021. Tommy is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Sarah Gilfillan; his wife, Teresa Miller Gilfillan; his brother, David Gilfillan; Cynthia Phillips Gilfillan and Peggy Sue Austin Lewter. Those left to cherish Tommy's memory are his children, Shaun Gilfillan, Crystal (John) Gilfillan, Tracy Seagroves, Jeremy Frazier (Becky), and Jessica (Mike) Gilfillan; siblings, Johnny Gilfillan, Mary Bullington, Safford Gilfillan, Lena Gilfillan, Ruthie Greene, and Robert Gilfillan, Johanna Claypool, Terri Stillman, and Kim Ryel; 11 grandchildren; two beloved dogs, Angel and Jake as well as, many nieces, nephews, and friends. Tommy was an all-around nice guy. Everyone who met him loved him, and he was always willing to help those who needed it. Tommy was a good-spirited man who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with his loved ones, in a ceaseless effort to make them smile and laugh. He was a hard worker, who retired from Goodyear and then went on to work as a cashier, just so he could be around people and share his joy with them. Tommy's love did not stop at his human companions, but rather extended out to his furry, four-legged friends, and especially to his two dogs. Tommy also enjoyed classic rock and roll music, and oldies. Tommy was a fun-loving, kind, and helpful man who will be greatly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
