Diana Lynn Chatellier, U.S. Army, Major Obituary (1950 - 2026)

Diana Lynn Chatellier, 75, of Spring Lake, North Carolina, passed away February 14, 2026, at the Fayetteville VA Medical Center. Born February 17, 1950, in Edgerton, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of Walter and Shirley Bartz, who preceded her in death. Diana was married to David Frank Chatellier for 49 years; they were united in marriage on August 6, 1976. She proudly served 13 years in the United States Army, attaining the rank of Major, and later earned her master’s degree from Methodist University. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, known especially for her compassion and her love of animals, often rescuing and caring for those in need. She is survived by her husband, David Frank Chatellier; son, Keith Chatellier (Kim) of Spring Lake, NC; daughters, Lisa Sultemeir (Brad) of Johnson City, TX, and Kayre Chatellier of Great Falls, MT; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers: Bob Bartz and Jeff Bartz both of Edgerton, WI, two nieces and one nephew. Services are entrusted to Adcock Funeral Home and Crematory, Spring Lake, NC.
